This is Halloween

My favorite autumn and Halloween tradition is Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns at Old Westbury Gardens. I love going every year and seeing the amazing artistic work that is done on the pumpkins. Plus it is fun to walk around one of your favorite places at night to see it from a completely different perspective.

This year, one of the exhibits was dedicated to my favorite Halloween movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. I cheated a little bit, because I had visited Old Westbury Gardens a few days before attending Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns, and while photographing the roses spotted the Jack and Sally pumpkins in the distance. As great as the pumpkins look in the daytime, they look even better lit up at night. I’m already looking forward to next year’s event!
