May was a gray and rain-filled month, but the one perk of dodging downpours in capturing the flowers after the rain, like with the camellias at Planting Field Arboretum. In the winter, I visit the camellia greenhouse at Planting Fields when I’m going through flower withdrawal, completely unaware that in the spring there are so many camellia bushes and trees in bloom around the property.
With the camellias outdoors, the greenhouse is practically empty of flowers with the exception of a few floating in the fountain, which has become the infamous photo to post on Instagram when you visit Planting Fields.
