No matter how many times I visit, I can’t resist taking so many photos every time I visit Old Westbury Gardens. The beginning of the summer season is all about the roses in the Walled Garden and there were so many beautiful varieties on display.
Beautiful photographs, I wish I was there to smell every flower head!
One question if I may: the purple beauty on the photograph number 6, what is it called? I have first seen it on a stamp I own in my collection, but never in reality, until now. I tried searching before, but apparently there is too many round, puffy and gorgeous flowers! Thank you for your time!
Thank you! The purple flower is called Allium. It is actually an onion and sometimes you can get a slight onion smell from it. But the smell does not take away from how pretty it is!
I love these so much!!!!
Thank you!
